Notre Dame Recruits Rise In Final ESPN300 Rankings
ESPN was the last outlet to release its rankings for the 2024 class, and the Notre Dame signees in the class jumped up in the final rankings. While other outlets largely dropped the Notre Dame players, ESPN jumped up all but one Irish commit.
Saline (Mich.) High School quarterback CJ Carr was Notre Dame's highest ranked signee, finishing his career as the No. 36 overall player and the No. 4 quarterback in the class. Carr graded out as a 5-star player on the Irish Breakdown board, but ESPN has Carr ranked higher than any other national recruiting outlet.
Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard South wide receiver Cam Williams was next on the list, ranking as the nation's No. 47 overall player and No. 11 wide receiver in the class. Williams climbed up four spots in the final rankings for ESPN.
Another riser in the class is Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, who rose up 27 spots to finish his career as the No. 75 overall player in the country and the No. 7 overall linebacker.
The biggest riser up the rankings was Charlotte (N.C.) Christian defensive end Bryce Young, who jumped up to No. 93 in the final rankings. Young was previously ranked No. 221, which means he made a 128-spot jump in the final rankings after his brilliant senior season.
Boston (Mass.) Catholic Memorial offensive tackle Guerby Lambert is the fifth member of the class to finish in the Top 100 for Notre Dame. Lambert finished his career ranked No. 94 overall, and was ranked as the No. 9 offensive tackle in the class. Lambert fell 32 spots and was the only Notre Dame signee in the ESPN300 to fall in the rankings.
Lufkin (Texas) High School running back Kedren Young was the next big riser for Notre Dame, jumping up 94 spots to finish out his career as the No. 127 overall player and the No. 10 running back in the 2024 class.
Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward defensive end Loghan Thomas ranked No. 239 overall in the final ESPN300. Charlotte (N.C.) Christian wide receiver Micah Gilbert rose up a spot to No. 257 overall in the final rankings, and Fort Wayne (Ind.) North Side safety Brauntae Johnson moved up two spots to No. 277, finishing out the Notre Dame commits in the ESPN300.
Hannibal (Mo.) High School running back Aneyas Williams, Charlotte (N.C) Catholic tight end Jack Larsen, Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern offensive tackle Styles Prescod and Malvern (Pa.) Prep offensive tackle Peter Jones were the other four-star recruits in the Notre Dame 2024 class according to ESPN.
