Notre Dame To Face Army In The 2024 Shamrock Series

Notre Dame will square off against Army inside Yankee Stadium in the 2024 Shamrock Series game

Notre Dame's 2024 schedule is finally compete as the school announced the Fighting Irish would take on Army on November 23rd. That game will be part of the Shamrock Series and will be played inside Yankee Stadium.

Notre Dame last played a Shamrock Series game inside Yankee Stadium back in 2018, and also played there in the Pinstripe Bowl to conclude the 2013 season. Notre Dame beat Syracuse 36-3 in a November game in 2018, and beat Rutgers 29-16 in the Pinstripe Bowl.

This will be the 12 Shamrock Series game and the second inside Yankee Stadium. Notre Dame's last Shamrock Series game was in 2022 when the Irish beat BYU (28-20) at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

This will be the 52nd game between Notre Dame and Army, with the Irish holding a 39-8-4 record against the Black Knights. Notre Dame's last game against Army was back in 2016 in another Shamrock Series game. The Irish beat the Black Knights that day by a 44-6 score inside The Alamodome in San Antonio.

Notre Dame noted this game will be played to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Four Horsemen, which was the name given to Irish standouts Jim Crowley, Elmer Layden, Don Miller and Harry Stuhldreher. That name was given to the Irish backfield that season by Grantland Rice after the Irish beat Army 13-7 in New York at the Polo Grounds.

Oct. 26 - vs. Navy (MetLife Stadium)
Nov. 2 - Bye
Nov. 9 - Florida State
Nov. 16 - Virginia
Nov. 23 - vs. Army (Yankee Stadium)
Nov. 30 - at USC
