Must Get Cornerback Mark Zackery Planning Two Trips To Notre Dame

Elite 2025 cornerback Mark Zackery planning multiple trips back to Notre Dame this offseason

Right near the top of the 2025 cornerback board, Notre Dame has been pushing for Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis star Mark Zackery IV for some time now. The in-state star has visited South Bend several times, with the Irish program appearing to be the heavy favorite right now.

After speaking with a source close to the situation, Zackery has already set up multiple trips back to Notre Dame over the next several months. On March 22nd, the talented cornerback will be back for an unofficial visit. He will also be taking an official visit on June 7-9th. Those will be Zackery’s fourth and fifth trips to campus overall as a recruit,

Heading down the stretch, Notre Dame is in a great place with Zackery. There is no question that he is an absolute priority for the staff, and he is clearly highly interested in the Irish program as well.

Zackery is considered a consensus four-star recruit by every major recruiting platform. He ranks highest on the 247Sports recruiting platform, considering Zackery as the No. 63 overall player, No. 7 cornerback and No. 1 player from the state of Indiana in the 2025 recruiting class.

The 6-0, 165-pound cover man is being heavily pursued by some of the top programs in all of college football. Some of his notable offers include the Fighting Irish, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, USC, Penn State, Oregon, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Louisville, Purdue, Cincinnati, Northwestern, West Virginia, Duke, Vanderbilt and Indiana among others.

As a junior, Davis was a two-way star for the Ben Davis Giants that finished the year 13-1. In those 14 games, Zackery recorded 39 total tackles, four interceptions and eight pass breakups. He also forced two fumbles and recovered another three, scoring two touchdowns on defense.

Zackery was also the team’s leading receiver, hauling in 53 receptions for 823 yards and eight touchdowns. That is an average of 15.5 yards per reception.
