The next few months are going to be incredibly boring for Notre Dame on the recruiting trail, finalizing official and unofficial visitors for the rest of this offseason. The Irish program is going to receive a return visit from 2025 Buford (Ga.) High School star cornerback Devin Williams, who the staff has been high on for some time now.

Williams was originally supposed to visit South Bend again for Junior Day a few weekends ago but weather prevented that trip. The Georgia standout will be making it back to campus on April 3rd, which will give Williams a chance to see a spring practice.

"I’m excited any time I can get to South Bend,” Williams told Irish Breakdown.

This will be Williams’ third overall trip to Notre Dame, and the first since the Ohio State game this past season. There is clear interest from both sides. The Irish staff has a chance to continue to build momentum with one of the more talented cover men in the country.

As a junior, Williams put together a tremendous year for the Wolves. On defense, he recorded 21 total tackles, broke up five passes, recovered a fumble and blocked two kicks.

The 5-10, 165-pound athlete also made a variety of plays on the offensive side of the football. Williams hauled in 14 receptions for 392 yards and two touchdowns from 2024 Nebraska signee Dylan Raiola, good enough for a 28 yard per catch average.

The Georgia native is being courted by some of the premier programs in all of college football. Some of Williams’ top offers so far include the Irish, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, LSU, Penn State, Florida State, Florida, Texas A&M, Auburn, Tennessee, Colorado, NC State, Arkansas, Michigan State, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Pitt, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Arizona State, West Virginia, Duke, Wake Forest and UCF among others.

Williams is currently rated as a consensus four-star recruit and top 175 player in the class across every major recruiting platform. He ranks highest on the ESPN ranking, who has Williams pegged as the No. 71 overall player and the No. 9 cornerback in the 2025 recruiting class.
