Notre Dame Is Trending Well With Florida QB Noah Grubbs
Notre Dame is off to a fast start recruiting quarterbacks in the 2026 class, receiving rave reviews with several big time quarterbacks so far. That includes Lake Mary (Fla.) High School signal caller Noah Grubbs, who recently announced that he was heading back to South Bend on March 23rd for his third time and first since the Ohio State game last season.
Overall, the Irish are trending in a tremendous place with Grubbs. The next few weeks are going to be incredibly busy, including that stop in South Bend. A lot of clarity with the hierarchy of his recruitment will be deeper understood after some of these visits.
“Recruiting has been great,” Grubbs told Irish Breakdown. “I’m on a consistent schedule calling coaches and communicating with them as well through my quarterback trainer Baylin Trujillo. I’m set to start my visits this spring with Notre Dame on March 23rd. I plan on also visiting Michigan, Ohio State, Miami, Florida, UNC and Alabama.”
As of now, Grubbs has six visits cemented. He will also be checking out Michigan (March 24th), Miami (March 30th), Florida (April 2nd), Alabama (April 5th-6th) and North Carolina (April 19th-20th) over the next couple of months.
Notre Dame is a part of an impressive “top list of schools” right now for the talented thrower. Grubbs is still giving everyone a chance, although the Irish have begun to separate themselves.
“Right now, my top schools that have shown the most interest are Miami, Notre Dame, Michigan, UNC, Virginia Tech, Auburn, Florida, Alabama, Ohio State, UCF, Oklahoma, and Texas,” Grubbs said. “Notre Dame is, I would say, one of the top schools and that’s why I’m visiting their first.
“They have told me that I’m their guy but they are recruiting hard for my position in my class along with someone I actually train with in Brady Hart,” Grubbs continued. “So it’s going to get interesting down the stretch, but I love Notre Dame
That visit coming up in a couple weeks will be huge for Grubbs, who is looking to experience everything South Bend has to offer once again. To say he has a high option of Notre Dame would be a massive understatement.
“I’m excited to finally get back on the Notre Dame campus and see a practice and the offense under Coach Gino Guidugli,” he explained. “I’ve recently been communicating with Coach (Marcus) Freeman as well.
“Notre Dame is historically a quarterback school with so much tradition, which I love,” Grubbs added. “There are so many first round picks and championships. I’m just excited to get that feeling I got walking on their campus the first time last year at camp and this past season on college game day versus Ohio State.”
Grubbs has a ton of traction on the recruiting trail, especially after his dominant sophomore year. On top of his offer from Notre Dame, he has also been offered by Michigan, Miami, Florida, Penn State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Auburn, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Arkansas, Colorado, UNC, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, West Virginia, Duke and UCF among others.
The Florida native is currently rated as a four-star recruit on the Rivals ranking. On that ranking, Grubbs currently sits as the No. 32 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.
The 6-4, 215-pound signal caller put together a standout freshman campaign in 2022. Grubbs led the team with 1,598 yards passing and 17 touchdowns. He was also careful with the football, only throwing six interceptions on the season.
In 12 games as a sophomore, Grubbs threw for 3,670 yards and 49 touchdowns through the air. Grubbs also completed 59 percent of his passes, averaging 305.8 passing yards per game and an absurd 17.6 yards per completion.
