Notre Dame Makes Final Four List For Elite LB Madden Faraimo

Notre Dame is among the final four schools for talented California linebacker Madden Faraimo

Notre Dame is looking to land yet another outstanding linebacker class in the 2025 cycle, and one of the top players on the board is San Diego (Calif.) J Serra Catholic star Madden Faraimo. The 6-3, 225-pound linebacker dropped a final four schools today and Notre Dame made the list.

Notre Dame made the list along with Ohio State, USC and Oregon.

The Irish coaching staff has been trying to gain traction with Faraimo for some time, but at the moment they seem to be battling to make up ground among his top four schools. Faraimo visited Notre Dame last summer but has not returned since. Getting him back on campus in the spring/summer period will be very important for the Irish, who are very high on this talented defender. Notre Dame was out to see Faraimo during the last open period, and by making his top four it's clear the staff has been able to establish a connection with him.

Faraimo is a consensus Top 100 player, ranking as the nation's No. 25 overall player and No. 3 linebacker by ESPN and No. 49 overall and No. 4 at linebacker by Rivals. 247Sports ranks him No. 77 overall and On3 ranks him No. 83 overall.

The J Serra standout has also earned offers from Alabama, Texas, Miami (Fla.), Penn State, Tennessee, Washington, Texas A&M, UCLA, Auburn, Utah, Nebraska, Stanford, Michigan State, Oregon State, Arizona, Colorado and California.

Notre Dame currently has a commitment from Hawaii standout Josiah Kia and a hybrid backer/edge player in Dominik Hulak, but the Fighting Irish staff would like to add at least two more pure backers to the 2025 class. Faraimo is one of those players, and he's one of three California stars - along with Noah Mikhail and Marco Jones - that are top targets for Notre Dame at linebacker in the 2025 class.
