Over the weekend, California Power Athletes held a tournament in Atlanta, Georgia. Some of the top players in the 2025 recruiting class flocked to the event, including 2025 La Verne (Calif.) Bonita linebacker Noah Mikhail, who is a key target for Notre Dame.

Following Mikhail’s performance in Atlanta, he spoke about his recruitment and updated the latest. That includes his travel plans over the next few weeks, including the previously reported return to South Bend.

"Next week I will be at Oregon,” Mikhail said. “The following weekend I will be at Texas A&M. On (April) 1st, I will be in Nebraska and on (April) 3rd, I will be at Notre Dame. Then on (April) 13th I will be back at USC.

"I would say those six schools have been recruiting me the hardest,” Mikhail continued. "Washington has been recruiting me hard as well but I would say those six.”

In a previous interview, the California star went more in depth on the particular return trip to Notre Dame. This will be Mikhail’s first trip since last offseason, which he is very excited about.

"I’m excited to just get back down and see how everything has been going and catching up,” Mikhail told Irish Breakdown. "It’s been awhile and I’m happy to get back to South Bend.”

It is going to be a hectic few weeks of travel for Mikhail and his family. Luckily his parents are stocked up and ready, which Mikhail joked about.

"They got the points,” he said. "They got the points to be able to make these trips happen.”

When it comes to Notre Dame, Mikhail is hearing from a long list of coaches. Marcus Freeman, Al Golden, Max Bullough and Chad Bowden have all made their presence felt. When it comes to Coach Freeman, he was the first head coach mentioned when Mikhail discussed which ones he has been hearing most from.

"Out of all of them, the only head coach I haven't talked to is Nebraska,” said Mikhail. "I have been on the phone with Coach Freeman, Lincoln (Riley), (Mike) Elko, really all of them.”

Outside of recruiting, Mikhail has also been growing tremendously physically this offseason. That growth showers over the weekend, possessing tremendous upside in the middle of a defense.

"I am up to 6-3 and 220 pounds,” Mikhail explained. "I feel good here. I am just trying to maintain it. Obviously when I get to college, I am going to put on another 10 to 12 pounds but that is natural. I am just trying to stay around this weight and get faster and stronger. I want to play anything inside linebacker wise, whether that is MIKE or WILL. That is where I feel best.”

The 6-3, 220-pound defender is being pursued by some of the top programs in college football. Some of his top offers currently include the Irish, Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, USC, Texas, Miami, Oregon, Florida State, Florida, Tennessee, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Washington, Arkansas, Arizona, Ole Miss, Michigan State, UCLA, Utah, Colorado, Stanford, Boston College, Arizona State and Cal among others.

Mikhail is considered a consensus top 100 recruit by every major recruiting platform. He ranks highest on the On3 ranking. They currently have Mikhail pegged as the No. 43 overall player and No. 7 linebacker in the 2025 recruiting class.

The California native is coming off of a stellar junior campaign for the Bonita Bearcats. In 12 games, Mikhail led the squad with 166 total and 15 tackles for loss. Mikhail also had one sack, two interceptions and three pass breakups on the season.

On offense, Mikhail also played some running back for Bonita. He carried the ball 54 times for 363 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 6.7 yards per carry. Mikhail also chipped on with 37 receptions for 455 yards and another five scores through the air.
