The campus visits have begun to pick up quickly with several big time 2025 and 2026 recruits finalizing trips. On April 10th, 2026 Richmond (Va.) St. Christopher’s School offensive lineman Darius Gray will be heading to Notre Dame for the first time. Gray is already considered one of the top offensive lineman in the class, and he is excited to check out South Bend.

“The early relationship with Notre Dame is amazing,” Gray told Irish Breakdown. “They are very similar to the school I attend right now, which gives me a sense of familiarity in the school.

“I'm excited about everything,” Gray continued. “It's my first time so I am excited to see everything and anything that Notre Dame does. The expectation is for me just to feel very familiar with where I am, hoping to have a home feeling.”

Although Gray has not yet been offered by the Irish, there’s a good chance that could change very soon. When they do, they would be added to a long list of impressive suitors. Gray is just grateful to be in the position he is currently.

“Recruiting has been great,” he explained. "I've been nothing but blessed throughout this whole process. The Lord has put me in a position to do big things. There have been plenty of schools that have stood out so far, including Tennessee, Penn State, and several others.”

With the Pot of Gold offer event on the horizon, Gray is definitely a player to keep an eye on for a potential offer. Add in the trip soon and the Irish have a chance to create some early momentum with the Virginia standout.

Gray is being pursued by some big time programs already. Some of his top offers to date include Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Miami, Penn State, Florida State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Syracuse, Texas Tech, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Maryland, NC State, Arkansas, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Duke and Virginia among others.

The 6-3, 285-pound offensive lineman is considered a four-star recruit by both On3 and Rivals, the two major recruiting platforms that have offered thus far. Rivals has Gray pegged as a top 100 overall recruit, currently sitting at No. 97. He is considered the No. 76 overall player and No. 3 interior offensive linemen according to the On3 Industry ranking.
