Analyst Predicts Ohio State to Go 11-1, But Where Is The Loss?

Brad Crawford says the Buckeyes will lose to the Wolverines, their heated rivals, for the third straight year in 2023.

The Michigan Wolverines will once again get the better of the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2023, according to Brad Crawford of 247Sports.

In an article predicting each Big Ten team's record at the end of the upcoming season, Crawford said the Buckeyes will take a loss against their historic rival for the third year in a row to close out the regular season.

Ohio State will go 11-0 to open the year in Crawford's model, before the eventual defeat in Ann Arbor at the Big House during the final week before the postseason. Among the teams the Buckeyes will get the better of are Notre Dame, Penn State and Michigan State.

Crawford has the Big Ten's usual suspects finishing on top of the conference: Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State. However, each of those squads will have a loss...to each other, with Penn State defeating Michigan, Michigan besting Ohio State and Ohio State taking care of Penn State.

This would put the conference executives in a bit of a unique pickle, as they would be forced to consider factors outside of divisional record in order to determine which of the three would make it to the title game to take on the winner of the Big Ten West.

The Buckeyes are the favorites to win this year's National Championship according to ESPN, so it is hard to imagine them losing to any team on their way to the 2023 title. 

Ohio State is no doubt hungrier than ever to defeat Michigan, given how the last two meetings have ended. 

But will this be the year when the desire for revenge finally pays off?
