Klatt said neither Kyle McCord or Devin Brown impressed him with their play against Indiana, and said the two-man system was hurting their confidence.

FOX analyst and show host Joel Klatt expressed concern over the Ohio State Buckeyes and the on-going search for a starting quarterback.

Klatt said Monday during his televised podcast that neither of the two Buckeyes signal-callers convinced him that they were the man for the job.

"If you're just thinking about it from a quarterback perspective, I did not see either of these guys, whether it's Kyle McCord who started the game (or) Devin Brown, either of these guys show anything that would suggest 'Oh yeah, he's the guy,'" Klatt said. "That's the last thing you wanted if you're an Ohio State fan."

On Tuesday during his weekly press conference, Ohio State coach Ryan Day said he would handle Saturday's game against Youngstown State the same way he did last weekend's contest at Indiana, as far as the quarterbacks were concerned. This means McCord will once again start things off on offense for the Buckeyes, and Brown would come off the sidelines.

Klatt expressed doubt over McCord's ability to be the starter, and referenced some missed plays from the junior quarterback as his reasoning why.

"He did not play very well," Klatt said. "Watching that tape, there were throws to be had against Indiana that he did not make. Now they would have been difficult at times, but he didn't make them."

Klatt also expressed his doubts about the continuation of Day's two-man quarterbacks rotation, saying it would be harmful for McCord, Brown and the Buckeyes as a whole.

"QB is a reps position," Klatt said. "So the longer that this controversy, this two-man system, the longer that this kind of goes along, that's reps out of the back pocket of whoever has to go play against Notre Dame, or Penn State, or Michigan, and they need every rep that they can possibly get."
