NFL Scouts Rave About 'Generational' Ohio State Star Marvin Harrison Jr.

NFL scouts reportedly say Harrison Jr.'s blend of size and speed is something they have "never seen" before.

Ohio State receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. Is already receiving praise from NFL scouts, despite still being a year out from making the jump to the big leagues.

The junior Buckeyes pass catcher has a blend of size and speed that scouts reportedly have said they have “never seen” before, according to a social-media post from NFL Rookie Watch.

“Harrison recently recorded a speed of 22.2 MPH (miles per hour) in Ohio State’s game against Youngstown State,” the post says. “That would’ve been the FASTEST speed recorded in the NFL in the past two seasons.”

Add that to the fact that Harrison stands a towering 6-foot-4, and it’s clear to see why scouts are blown away by this combination of measurables.

NFL Rookie Watch goes on to say scouts have compared Harrison to a now-retired legend at the position.

“Many NFL scouts reportedly believe Harrison has a spot to ‘challenge’ Calvin Johnson as the best WR prospect of this century,” NFL Rookie Watch said. “The Buckeyes WR is GENERATIONAL.”

Harrison Jr. has proven himself to be a major asset to the Buckeyes offense, amassing over 1,700 yards and 20 touchdowns in 20 games.

Against Western Kentucky last Saturday, Harrison broke his record for the longest reception of his career (which he had just set the game before) with a 75-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Kyle McCord.

Ryan Day and the Buckeyes will no doubt be looking to Harrison to contribute big on Saturday against the No. 9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
