Ohio State Big Ten Opponents Announced For 2024-25, Dates TBD

The Ohio State Buckeyes will play the UCLA Bruins for the first time since 2001 in 2024.
In this story:

With the Big Ten expanding to 16 teams and eliminating the East vs. West divisional format after next season, the Ohio State Buckeyes will travel to Los Angeles to play UCLA in 2024 and will host the USC Trojans at Ohio Stadium in 2025.

The athletics department announced the conference game home and road opponents for the 2024-25 seasons Thursday. In 2024, Ohio State will play host to Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Northwestern and Rutgers, while traveling to play Michigan State, Minnesota, Penn State and UCLA.

In 2025, the Buckeyes will welcome Indiana, Maryland, Nebraska and USC to Ohio Stadium and will go on the road for games against Illinois, Michigan, Northwestern, Purdue and Wisconsin.

Ohio State will host Southern Mississippi Aug. 31, 2024, Western Michigan Sept. 7, 2024 and Marshall Sept. 21, 2024, with a bye week in between the second and third nonconference games.

In 2025, the Buckeyes have a huge season-opening nonconference matchup against Texas — which will have already made the move to the Southeastern Conference by then. Ohio State will also play UConn at Ohio Stadium Oct. 18, 2025, as the Buckeyes will need to find a third nonconference opponent for that year.
