Ohio State Commits WR Jeremiah Smith, QB Air Noland Helping Build 2024 Class

The Ohio State Buckeyes currently have the No. 4 recruiting class in 2024, according to 247Sports, but a pair of pledges in the cycle are trying to propel them to No. 1.
In this story:

Ohio State Buckeyes class of 2024 pledge wide receiver Jeremiah Smith has been on Twitter a lot recently, whether it's announcing he's in Athens, GA., reaffirming his commitment, or responding to negative comments from fans.

What you don't see him using social media for is recruiting other players in the 2024 cycle — a tradition that has helped build some of the great Ohio State classes in recent years and is permeated across the college football recruiting landscape.

However, he isn't doing all the player-to-player recruiting on his own. He has some help from the No. 6 quarterback in the class in Air Noland, someone Smith said is "a great quarterback" and "can spin it."

"Me and him, we're just trying to build the No. 1 class," Smith told On3's NIL Elite Series. "We got some still work in for sure. We got some DBs we're trying to get on board, get some O-linemen try to get on board, D-linemen on board. We're working behind the scenes right now."

It'd be easy to try and speculate who the duo is trying to bring in based on their respective locations — like Noland, a Fairburn, GA. native recruiting five-star defensive lineman Eddrick Houston who is just an hour northeast of the quarterback's hometown, for example — but to know for sure would be impossible.

With the power of social media, Noland and Smith's online recruiting has no distance limitations.
