LOOK: Buckeyes Commit Jeremiah Smith Wears Georgia Gear; What to Make of It?

Current Ohio State Buckeyes 2024 commit Jeremiah Smith was seen rocking some Georgia gear following his official visit to the Bulldogs.
In this story:

After doing battle on the football field in this past season's college football playoffs semifinals, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the reigning national champion Georgia Bulldogs continue to go head-to-head on the recruiting trail. Both programs are national title contenders for this upcoming season, largely thanks to their elite recruiting, which has even seen them battle it out for multiple top prospects over the years.

The latest fight on the recruiting trail between the Buckeyes and Bulldogs is Jeremiah Smith, the five-star wide receiver, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, who is currently committed to Ohio State.

Yet, that verbal pledge to the Buckeyes hasn't stopped Smith from looking around, as he recently visited Athens for an official visit and even donning Georgia gear.

We know what you're thinking... recruits are constantly getting gear from schools that are interested in them and usually will wear that new merchandise even if it isn't a school they are committed to. Knowing that it shouldn't serve as an alarm for the Buckeye-faithful that Smith is going to flip his commitment to Georgia.

But this picture of Smith wearing a Georgia t-shirt and shorts comes at a time when some believe the Bulldogs have the momentum in his recruitment following the commitment of five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola

There is still a long way to go until signing day, and if the recent buzz is anything to show for it, Buckeye fans may never truly be comfortable with Smith's pledge until he signs the dotted line.
