Ohio State vs. Minnesota To Have One Of Three Kickoff Times
The Ohio State Buckeyes are set to take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Nov. 18 in Columbus, in what will be the final home game of the year for Ryan Day's team.
On Monday, the kickoff plans for that matchup were revealed, with the Buckeyes and Gophers set to kickoff at one of three different times - noon, 3:30, and 4:30 p.m. ET - depending on the outcome of the slate of games this Saturday.
The game will be broadcast on Big Ten Network.
The matchup will be the 54th time the two teams have faced off on the gridiron, with the Buckeyes holding a 46-7 advantage over Minnesota in the series.
Ohio State has dominated the all-time series vs. the Gophers, winning the last 12 matchups.
In fact, the Gophers have only beaten the Buckeyes twice since the 1960s with Minnesota winning once in Minneapolis in 1981, and another time in Columbus in 2000.
Three of the Gophers' seven wins have come in Columbus, with the other victories coming in 1949 and 1940.
This year's edition of the Gophers could potentially be a threat to the Buckeyes, however, sitting at 5-4 on the season and holding a 12-10 win over a then-No. 24 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes in Iowa City.
That said, the Gophers were also blown out by the other two ranked teams they have faced this season, losing 31-13 to the No. 20 North Carolina Tarheels in September, and 52-10 to the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines in October.
