'H.I.M.!' LeBron James Praises Buckeyes' Marvin Harrison Jr. After Big 1st Quarter

The Ohio State Buckeyes tandem of quarterback Kyle McCord and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has drawn praise from Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James.
In this story:

Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is widely regarded as the best pass-catcher in college football and he's shown why in the first quarter.

He and Buckeyes quarterback Kyle McCord linked up for a touchdown for the second time Saturday against the Youngstown State Penguins. McCord uncorked a 39-yard pass to Harrison, who beat two Youngstown State defenders and back-pedaled into the end zone, making a difficult catch look easy to give the Buckeyes a 14-7 lead in the first 13 minutes.

Harrison caught the attention of Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James in the process.

"Marvin Harrison Jr!!!" James said in a post on X. "H.I.M. 18 for 6 #GoBuckeyes."

Last week, McCord only found Harrison twice for 18 yards. The pair has already surpassed that mark in the first quarter, as Harrison has four receptions for 122 yards and two touchdowns.

On the Buckeyes' first drive of the game, Harrison leaked out on the near sideline and beat Youngstown State's defenders in a 71-yard foot race to the end zone to open the scoring.

Ohio State's third drive of the game, much like the first, was filled with quick-strike plays, only taking 1:22 to post its second touchdown of the game. Ohio State racked up 169 yards on seven plays in its two scoring drives so far in the first quarter.

Through the first quarter, McCord is 7-for-8 for 157 passing yards and two touchdowns.

McCord and Harrison were high school teammates at St. Joseph's Preparatory School in Philadelphia.
