Will Ohio State Have Nation's Most Explosive Offense?
The Ohio State Buckeyes were a near-miss for the College Football Playoff last season. This year is expected to be even better.
After suffering losses to Michigan over the past three seasons, changes in Ann Arbor could open the door for an Ohio State run to a title.
The Buckeyes are always known for a strong defense, but this season, after another strong recruiting class and additions from the NCAA Transfer Portal, the offense is one that will once again impress.
College football media outlet 247Sports ranked the college football offenses that could be the most explosive in 2024, and the Buckeyes top the list.
Said 247Sports:
"The greatest show on grass? Not to hype this transfer-laden roster offensively too much during spring practice, but if Howard's as good as advertised in the leadership role of a deep quarterback room and the two-headed monstrous backfield of Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson works out, the Buckeyes could be unstoppable.
"Insert Smith, the five-star freshman rated as the 2024 cycle's top player overall, in a talented wideout group and Ohio State's not going to miss Harrison all that much on that outside. Figuring out the offensive line rotation in Chip Kelly's updated scheme is the main priority for Ryan Day this spring."
Report: Michigan Targeting Ohio State Coach Tony Alford
Look for improved quarterback play with the additions of Will Howard and Air Noland in the mix for the starting job.
With a revamped coaching staff, the addition of Chip Kelly as offensive coordinator and the return of Jim Knowles to run the defense, this could be a special season for Buckeyes fans.
