Marvin Harrison Jr., Four Other Buckeyes Picked in Way-Too-Early 2024 NFL Draft
Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is one of five Buckeyes chosen in the first round of the first 2024 NFL Mock Draft, published by Pro Football Focus (PFF).
Opening next year's draft along with Harrison Jr. is fellow wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau, cornerback Denzel Burke and defensive tackle Michael Hall Jr.
PFF has Harrison Jr. going to the Arizona Cardinals with the second overall pick in the draft, where he would play on the same offensive unit as his former teammate, Paris Johnson Jr.
Harrison Jr. is projected to play a major role for the Buckeyes this coming season. A top-three spot in the draft would be therefore fitting, should he live up to those expectations.
Egbuka is the next Buckeye taken off the board, packing his bags and heading north to the Green Bay Packers as the No. 8 overall selection. The Steilacoom, Washington native would provide the Packers with some much-needed depth at receiver in their second year without quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The New Orleans Saints choose Tuimoloau 12 picks later at 20th overall, pairing him with defensive end Cameron Jordan to form an intimidating front four.
Three picks later at pick No. 23, the Jacksonville Jaguars add Denzel Burke to their roster. Burke has had ups and downs throughout his time at Ohio State, but there is plenty of upside to justify him going in the first round.
Defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. burst onto the scene in the opening weekend of the 2022 season against Notre Dame. Hall is the final Buckeye to go in the first round, heading to the Baltimore Ravens with the No. 24 selection.
Nine of the 15 Buckeyes who declared in 2023 were left undrafted. Five selections in the opening round of 2024 would do a lot of good in solidifying Ohio State's ability to produce high-quality professional talent.
