The No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes host the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers in their second consecutive game at Ohio Stadium on Saturday, September 16.

This first-ever meeting between the Buckeyes and Hilltoppers is set to kick off at 4 p.m. Eastern, airing nationally on FOX.

Ohio State (2-0) has a perfect record through the first two games of the season, having defeated the Indiana Hoosiers and Youngstown State Penguins over the last two weeks. The Buckeyes are averaging 29 points per game after this pair of contests.

Junior quarterback Kyle McCord has taken a vast majority of the snaps against the Hoosiers and Penguins, showing a growing level of confidence as the main man behind center. On Tuesday, Ryan Day announced these consistent displays of comfort from the Mount Laurel, New Jersey native have convinced him that McCord deserves to be the official starter for the Buckeyes moving forward.

Western Kentucky (2-0) also enters Saturday's contest with a flawless mark after wins against the South Florida Bulls and Houston Christian Huskies. The Hilltoppers have seemingly scored at will in these games, carrying a 46.5 points-per-game average into their battle with the Buckeyes.

Last season, Western Kentucky was the second-best passing team in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), throwing for just over 352 yards per contest.

The forecast at game time is projected to be a crisp 76 degrees Fahrenheit. There is also a zero-percent chance of precipitation until 6 a.m. on Sunday when the number jumps just slightly to two percent.

Needless to say, Mother Nature will be smiling when the Buckeyes and Hilltoppers get things started in The 'Shoe.
