WATCH: Ryan Day, QBs Preview Ohio State Fall Camp
Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day will speak to members of the media Wednesday ahead of the beginning of Fall Camp.
This press conference will be the first time since Big Ten Media Days last week that Day will be presented with questions, ranging from the Buckeyes' ongoing search for a starting quarterback to his involvement in play-calling this season.
Joining Day at the podium are Buckeyes quarterbacks Tristan Gebbia, Kyle McCord, and Devin Brown.
McCord and Brown were last available to the media following the 2023 Spring Game, as neither quarterback made the trip to Indianapolis for Big Ten Media Days last week. Despite Brown being sidelined from the annual scrimmage while dealing with a thumb injury, both he and McCord appeared at the podium to speak together.
Instead of Brown, Gebbia took the reigns as the Spring Game's second quarterback but was not present for questions afterward.
It is expected that either McCord or Brown will eventually be named Ohio State's starting quarterback for the 2023 season, but the announcement of whom it will be still seems a good way away.
During Big Ten Media Days, Day did not rule out the possibility of utilizing a two-quarterback system for the first handful of games, before analyzing each QB's performance and picking one with whom to move forward.
As for other, non-quarterback questions with which Day could find himself presented, inquiries about the role of recent Buckeyes additions like cornerback Aaron Scott and transfer linebacker Nigel Glover should be expected.
Additionally, Day could be asked about the loss of safety Jontae Gilbert, who de-committed from Ohio State Saturday night.
