Expect Ohio Stadium to be a sea of scarlet when Ohio State Buckeyes take on Penn State this season.

The Buckeyes and Nittany Lions will meet in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, October 21 for the first scarlet-out game since the two schools faced off in 2021.

A kickoff time for the game has not yet been announced.

Ahead of their game against Penn State two years ago, Ohio State debuted an all-scarlet, jersey-and-pants combination. The uniform was dubbed the "Color Rush" alternate.

The Buckeyes showcased these alternate digs on their way to a 44-31 victory over the Nittany Lions.

The release of "Color Rush" was one of the first instances this decade where the Buckeyes have worn the same color top and bottom. One other example is when Ohio State chose white pants to pair with their classic away jersey for a game against Illinois on November 28, 2020.

Ohio State had a "Scarlet the Shoe" night (the official name for their annual scarlet-out game) last season against the Iowa Hawkeyes, but wore their typical home uniforms unlike the year prior.

"Scarlet the Shoe" was one of six themes Ohio State announced on Wednesday for their home games. Some of the other major nights come on October 7 against Maryland (Homecoming), November 11 against Michigan State (Military Appreciation), and November 18 against Minnesota (Senior Day).

Which uniform combination would you like to see Ohio State sport during "Scarlet the Shoe" 2023: "Color Rush," traditional home or something else?
