Former Ohio State Buckeyes standout linebacker Darron Lee's post-football career has been plagued with legal troubles.

Earlier this month, According to records obtained by The Columbus Dispatch, those troubles continued to mount, with Lee being charged with felony drug possession on September 6 in Dublin, Ohio.

According to the records, Dublin Police accused Lee of being in possession of two bags of a white powder that was later confirmed to be cocaine.

The bags were originally found by police in April during Lee's domestic violence arrest. It was the second domestic violence incident Lee was being investigated for, with the other occurring in October of 2022.

The alleged victims of the domestic violence incidents have since been reported to be both his mother and the mother of his son. Lee has been accused of punching his mother multiple times in the head, shoving her into a wall, and throwing her to the ground.

Lee was scheduled to appear in court in June, but failed to appear, resulting in Franklin County Judge James Green issuing an arrest warrant for the 28-year-old.

Those warrants are still active, while Lee is scheduled to appear in court for his drug possession charge on Thursday, Sept 21.

Lee, who was a starter for the Buckeyes' 2014 national championship team, was a first-round draft pick of the New York Jets in 2016.

The former Ohio State product has not played in an NFL game since 2020 but was a member of the Raiders practice squad in 2021.
