North Oconee (GA) High School catcher Kendall Wells committed to Oklahoma on Wednesday.

Wells' commitment comes just one day after fellow 2025 top prospect Sophia Bordi announced her pledge to Patty Gasso and the Sooners. Wells included a picture of her and Bordi with Gasso on a visit to Norman in a social media post revealing her decision.

With Bordi and Wells both slated to join Gasso's squad in 2025, OU has one of the most talented batteries in the upcoming recruiting class. Bordi is one of the nation's top pitchers, and Wells is the No. 1 catcher and No. 4 overall player in the nation according to Extra Innings Softball

With the success that Kinzie Hansen and Lynnsie Elam had at the catcher position during their time in Norman, it is no surprise that Gasso continues to land some of the top players in the country behind the plate.

Playing travel ball for the Georgia Impact, Wells also has experience at third and first base. Audrey Vandagriff, another top recruit and teammate of Wells, praised the newest Sooners' commit, saying that she is a great athlete and friend.

"I have played with Kendall on two teams now, and I know her well on both a personal level and an athletic level,” Vandagriff told Extra Innings Softball. "I talk to Kendall just about every day, and she is constantly at a hitting lesson, at a camp, or catching all while having basketball for high school. Her mindset is she wants to be the best, and she’s one of the top 2025s if not the best. She brings her competitive, fierce, ‘I’ll run you over if I have to’ mentality each time she steps on the field. Kendall brings a lot to our team: her cannon of an arm behind the plate, her powerhouse of a bat and her unmatchable energy.”

After winning three consecutive NCAA Championships, Gasso and company continue to dominate the recruiting trail, and are already in the process of building another impressive recruiting class in 2025.
