The college football regular season is in the rearview mirror with nothing but postseason football left to play. In typical Big 12 fashion, the championship game wasn't locked in until the very last week of play. With a win over BYU, the Oklahoma State Cowboys locked their spot in the title game against the Texas Longhorns.

This is no favorable matchup for the Cowboys, but they've been quite solid as an underdog all season. The Cowboys will try to establish their balanced offense, which would allow Ollie Gordon to make a big impact on the game. If they can do so, this game will be much closer.

The Longhorns, who opened as an 11.5-point favorite, are now 15-point favorites. The oddsmakers continue to believe in the Longhorns' ability to win big more and more.

There is one facet of this game that benefits Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy, and that is being able to coach with nothing to lose. There's not much expectation for Gundy and his squad, and that's typically where he's able to find the most success.
