The Oklahoma State Cowboys had all of the momentum against the Kansas Jayhawks until they didn't. After a 14-0 start, the Cowboys now trail 19-17 after the Jayhawks found their offensive stride and strung together a couple of starts.

Unfortunately for the Cowboys, the offense struggling to move the ball isn't the only rough thing happening at the moment. Starting left tackle Dalton Cooper is now out for the rest of the game, according to the Cowboy Radio Network.

Cooper's absence forces the Cowboys to shuffle around the offensive line, which had finally found its rhythm last week and was a positive asset to the offense. Cole Birmingham is his backup and will assume the position for the matchup.

However the Cowboys decide to shuffle, they just need to do enough for the Cowboys to capture a lead and allow the defense to take over this game, as they did against Kansas State.

Brennan Presley, Rashod Owens and Ollie Gordon have each gotten off to an impressive start in this one, and continuing to distribute the ball to playmakers and carving up the Jayhawks defense will be important in this one.

With the way the game started, it looked like a Big 12 shootout might be looming, but Cooper's injury could change that. Bryan Nardo's defense will have to come through and shut down Kansas' backup quarterback Jason Bean.
