Oklahoma State drew Texas A&M in the Texas Bowl in a game that saw the Cowboys taking on a very shorthanded Aggies team. Jaylen Henderson was the team's third-string quarterback to start the season, but injuries and the transfer portal saw Henderson be the starter for the Aggies in the Texas Bowl.

With the Aggies having just 55 scholarship players coming into the game, it was no secret they were shorthanded, and the worst thing that could have happened on the first play did happen. Henderson was tackled by Cameron Epps after delivering a pass and awkwardly landed on his arm. Immediately, the cart came out and the athletic trainers rushed to the field.

Henderson was given an air cast on his way off the field as he's out for the game. The Aggies inserted Marcel Reed into the game as they continue to climb their way downward on the depth chart.

Right after, the offense got off the field as the Cowboys came away with a stop as they were set to play their first offensive drive of the game. Suffering a brutal injury on the first play immediately reinforces all of the future NFL players' decisions to sit out of bowl games and prioritize health.
