LIVE UPDATES: Ole Miss Faces Minnesota in Game Two of Cambria College Classic

The Rebels and Golden Gophers are set to do battle on Saturday night.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Following their win over the Maryland Terrapins on Friday, the No. 4 Ole Miss Rebels are set to face the winless Minnesota Golden Gophers in their second game of the Cambria College Classic on Saturday.

The Rebels were spurred on Friday by a big day from Ethan Groff at the plate, and Kemp Alderman also hit a solo shot early in the game to give Ole Miss its first lead. Jack Dougherty completed the longest outing of his career and earned his first win on the mound this young season.

Freshman Grayson Saunier is slated to toe the rubber for Ole Miss here in game two. Follow along below for live updates on the action. Be sure to refresh this page throughout the night for the most up-to-date information.

FIRST INNING

Jacob Gonzalez doubled to get things started for Ole Miss, but he is thrown out trying to steal third. 

Ethan Groff works the count and earns a one-out walk. He then steals second to get into scoring position. 

Calvin Harris also works a walk, awarded ball three due to a pitch clock violation. Alderman legs out an infield single to load the bases with one down. 

Anthony Calarco singles home two runs, still one out in the frame. Ole Miss 2, Minnesota 0 

TJ McCants gets an RBI with a sacrifice fly. Ole Miss 3, Minnesota 0 

Chatagnier singles to put runners at first and second with two down. 

Furniss flies out to end the inning.

MID 1: Ole Miss 3, Minnesota 0 

Saunier starts the bottom half by issuing a leadoff walk, but he bounces back with a strikeout. 

Another strikeout for Saunier as second base is stolen. 

A fly out to center ends the inning.

SECOND INNING

Gonzalez records a one-out single. 

A double play by Groff ends the Rebels' inning.

MID 2: Ole Miss 3, Minnesota 0

A single puts a runner on with no outs. 

A clock violation from a Minnesota batter results in an out, the first of the inning.

THIRD INNING

Alderman is hit by a pitch with one out to put a runner at first. 

Calarco pops out, and McCants singles to put runners at first and second with two down. 

Chatagnier singles to left, but a throw from the outfield cuts Alderman down at the plate, keeping Ole Miss off the board.

MID 3: Ole Miss 3, Minnesota 1 

A leadoff single comes around to score after a sac bunt and a double. Ole Miss 3, Minnesota 2 

Tied ballgame after another double scores a run. Ole Miss 3, Minnesota 3 

Saunier records a strikeout after a mound visit for out No. 2. 

A walk puts two runners on with two down. Another strikeout ends the inning.

FOURTH INNING

Will Furniss draws a leadoff walk to bring Lege up to the plate. 

Lege with a long fly out to right-center for the first out of the inning. 

Gonzalez grounds into a double play to end the frame.

Saunier surrenders a leadoff single to start the bottom of the fourth. 

A strikeout followed by a strikeout/throw out double play ends the inning.

FIFTH INNING

Calvin Harris records a one-out single to give Ole Miss a baserunner. 

Alderman grounds into a fielder's choice that gets Harris at second base. 

Calarco doubles to left-center, and Alderman is almost out at home again, but he forces the ball out of the catcher's mitt, scoring a run. Ole Miss 4, Minnesota 3 

McCants flies out to end the inning.

MID 5: Ole Miss 4, Minnesota 3 

Grayson Saunier has yet to record a clean inning, allowing a one-out single here in the fifth. 

A two-run home run puts the Gophers in front. Minnesota 5, Ole Miss 4 

Saunier now has 11 strikeouts on the day, but he has also surrendered five runs on eight hits.

SIXTH INNING

New arm on the mound for the Gophers, and Chatagnier draws a walk. 

Chatagnier was on the move to second as Furniss grounds out. Runner now at second with one down. 

Ethan Lege singles to left, putting runners at the corners with one down. 

Gonzalez flies out to center, and Chatagnier is cut down at the plate to end the inning. 

MID 6: Minnesota 5, Ole Miss 4 

Mitch Murrell now on the mound for Ole Miss, and he opens the frame with a strikeout. 

A strikeout and fly out end the frame.

SEVENTH INNING

Groff records a leadoff single to bring up Harris. 

Harris hits a long double to put runners at second and third with no outs. Minnesota making a pitching change. 

Alderman goes down swinging for the first out of the inning. 

Calarco hits a two-run single, and Ole Miss regains the lead. Ole Miss 6, Minnesota 5

McCants doubles to put runners at second and third with one down. 

Chatagnier strikes out for the second out, bringing up Will Furniss.

Furniss draws a walk to load the bases with two down. 

Lege grounds out to stand the bases full.

MID 7: Ole Miss 6, Minnesota 5 

Murrell surrenders a one-out double to put a runner in scoring position. 

A fly out advances the runner to third with two down.

Gonzalez draws a leadoff walk to begin the eighth.

Calarco is intentionally walked to bring up a pitching change for the Gophers. 

A strikeout of TJ McCants ends the frame.

Murrell gets a groundout to third, and Bianco is going to the bullpen. In comes Sam Tookoian. 

Tookoian keeps the base paths clean, and this one transitions to the ninth.

NINTH INNING

Will Furniss gets to second on a fielding error by the right fielder. Burford on to pinch run. 

Ethan Lege sends out a two-run shot to left field. Ole Miss 9, Minnesota 5 

Nothing else for the Rebels in the frame.

Tookoian surrenders a two-run shot to left. Ole Miss 9, Minnesota 7 

He gets a strikeout for the first out of the inning. A fly out to left is the second out.
