Today is May 19, 2023, and here's the news you need to know out of Oxford.

1. Despite racking up 12 strikeouts, Xavier Rivas and Ole Miss baseball fell to Alabama on Thursday night.

The Rebels fell to 6-22 in conference play with the loss, and their season will come to a close on Friday with a doubleheader against the Crimson Tide scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. CT. You can read about Thursday's game here.

2. Jaxson Dart is among the highest-graded returning SEC quarterbacks entering the 2023 season.

Pro Football Focus recently released their grades of returning quarterbacks in the Southeastern Conference, and Dart broke into the top three.
