OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss Rebels remained winless in conference series on Saturday, falling 6-4 to the No. 5 Arkansas Razorbacks at Swayze Field.

Ole Miss captured its first home conference win of the season on Friday night, rebounding after a blowout loss in game one of its doubleheader against the Razorbacks. On Saturday, the Rebels and Hogs went back-and-forth for much of the day, but three late runs from Arkansas gave it the win.

After falling behind 1-0 early, the Rebels tied the game at one in the fourth inning and again drew even at three in the fifth. Two runs from Arkansas in the seventh and one in the eighth, however, surpassed the Rebels who only pushed across one more run on the day.

Three of Ole Miss' runs on the day came off the bat of shortstop Jacob Gonzalez, and the other came from first baseman Anthony Calarco. Calarco's RBI came in the fourth off of a double, and Gonzalez's three runs came via a two-run home run and an RBI single.

On the mound for Ole Miss, the Rebels saw a strong start from JT Quinn who lasted five complete innings, allowing three runs, only one of which was earned. He was relieved by Jackson Kimbrell who was credited with the loss, and Sam Tookoian and Mason Nichols also threw in relief.

With the loss, the Rebels are now 18-13 overall and fall to 2-10 in SEC play. They will again take the diamond in the midweek against the Memphis Tigers and Alcorn State Braves before traveling to face the Mississippi State Bulldogs next weekend.
