WATCH: Andrew Fischer Blasts Long Home Run to Ole Miss Student Section

Ole Miss Rebels third baseman Andrew Fischer hit a towering solo home run in the bottom of the first on Saturday.

After a shaky top of the first from Ole Miss Rebels starting pitcher JT Quinn allowed one run from the Iowa Hawkeyes, he did not face a deficit for very long thanks to third baseman Andrew Fischer.

With one down in the bottom of the first, Fischer took a pitch from Iowa RHP Marcus Morgan and deposited it with the student section in right field, meeting approval with a hefty beer shower. You can view the play below.

According to Ole Miss baseball, the ball traveled 407 feet to right field and registered a mark of 112 mph off the bat.

Nothing else came across for the Rebels in the bottom of the first, and his home run left the game tied at one entering the second inning. At the time, it also accounted for Ole Miss' only hit of the ballgame.
