'Back to Work!' Ole Miss Guard Brandon Murray Reflects on Rebels' Shooting Struggles vs. LSU
The Ole Miss Rebels shot 36.9 percent from the field and 25 percent from three in Wednesday night's 89-80 loss to the LSU Tigers, and guard Brandon Murray had some simple analysis for the team's struggles after the game.
According to Murray, LSU's defense didn't present any unique challenges for the Rebels, but a lot of the problem simply boiled down to shots not falling.
"The ball just didn't go in the basket," Murray said. "I don't think LSU did anything to particularly change a certain way about how we play. It's just the ball wasn't going in. We're used to having good shots, and the ball was getting up."
This was somewhat of a homecoming for Murray who spent time as part of the Tigers program before transferring to Georgetown and then Ole Miss. He finished the night as the team's scoring leader with 23 points.

"It was great coming back to LSU and everything, seeing the place," Murray said. "More focused about not getting the win and everything. Just ready to get back to Oxford and get back to work."
The Rebels will hit the road again for their next game action on Saturday when they face the No. 13 Auburn Tigers. Tip-off in Auburn is set for 7:30 p.m. CT, and the game will be televised on SEC Network.
