Where Does Ole Miss Basketball Land in Latest NCAA Tournament Projections?

According to multiple projections, the Ole Miss Rebels men could be en route to their first NCAA Tournament berth since 2019.

The Ole Miss Rebels have clearly turned things around in their men's basketball program since the arrival of Chris Beard as the team's head coach, but will that turnaround lead to an NCAA Tournament berth?

According to Joe Lunardi's latest projections, Ole Miss reaches the field of 68 as an eight-seed in the South Region (Dallas). It is currently projected to take on nine-seed TCU in Charlotte, and that region is paired with one-seed North Carolina.

Jerry Palm's projection has the Rebels as a five-seed in the East Region (Boston) taking on 12-seed McNeese State in Salt Lake City.

As for Coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin's women's basketball team, it is currently slated as an eight-seed taking on nine-seed Nebraska in top-seed UCLA's quadrant of the tournament. This projection comes after a disappointing road loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Sunday.

Ole Miss' men are scheduled to return to the floor on Wednesday in Baton Rouge against the LSU Tigers, and the women will travel to Athens on Sunday to face the Georgia Bulldogs.
