Ole Miss WR Elijah Moore Traded From Jets to Browns
Former Ole Miss Rebels wide receiver Elijah Moore is one of the most productive pass catchers in school history.
And now, he has found his already way to his second NFL home in his young career.
According to multiple reports, Moore has been traded from the New York Jets to the Cleveland Browns.
Moore first came to the Jers as a second-round pick in 2021.
In return for Moore, the Jets will receive a second-round pick (No. 42), and send back the No. 74 pick in the third round to Cleveland.
During his time in New York, Moore was held back by an inconsistent quarterback situation, making 80 catches for 984 yards and six touchdowns over two seasons, averaging 12.3 yards per catch.
However, now heading to Cleveland, Moore will have the opportunity to play with a quarterback that has shown the ability to be elite in Deshaun Watson.
He will also get to line up opposite a Pro Bowl wideout for the first time in his career, Amari Cooper, which should provide him with more one on one opportunities.
As a star with the Rebels, Moore had 189 catches for 2,441 yards and 16 touchdowns over three seasons, making him fourth in Ole Miss history in terms of yards and receptions, as well as sixth in touchdowns.
In 2020, Moore finished First-Team All-SEC and as a consensus All-American, and won the Conerly Trophy as the top player in the state of Mississippi.
