With Baltimore Ravens' linebacker and edge rusher Odafe Oweh nursing a sore ankle and David Ojabo placed on injured reserve, former Ole Miss Rebels defensive end Tavius Robinson got his first career NFL start against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

He assumed the role of a typical starter by remaining on the field during almost all situations and registered a career-high four tackles including three solo and one for a loss. He had a nose for the ball the entire day and found himself around most of the 39 defensive and five special teams snaps he took.

The fourth-round rookie came up with the biggest play of his career and of the game in the first quarter when Browns wideout Elijah Moore took the ball behind the line of scrimmage on a play snuffed out by Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton.

Robinson was able to track the play and pursue Moore for a 20-yard loss.

That play chased the Browns out of the red zone and almost out of field goal range. Cleveland would eventually end the drive with a 53-yard field goal for their only points of the game.

Robinson was an integral part of a defense that allowed just three points and 166 total yards on 13 drives. The Browns were just 4 of 16 on third down attempts and tallied only 93 yards rushing on the day.

Robinson and the defense held division rival Cleveland to just 2.6 yards per play and forced three interceptions as backup quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson was under pressure all day.

Robinson played at Ole Miss from 2020 through 2022 and registered 90 total tackles (54 solo) in 34 career games. He also tallied 11.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

Taken 124th overall by the Ravens in the 2023 NFL Draft, Robinson has added much-needed depth this season in the wake of a slew of injuries on defense.
