Jalen Knox Sounds Off About Rebels Quarterback Battle in Fall Camp

OXFORD, Miss. -- These days, it's difficult to be part of the Ole Miss Rebels roster and not be asked a quarterback question.

Wide receiver Jalen Knox was made available to the media on Monday following another installment of fall camp, and he discussed plenty about his position group and the role he envisions for himself on this year's team. Towards the end of his availability, however, Knox was asked to give his opinion on the quarterback battle in Oxford, and here's what he had to say.

"It's been good to see," Knox said. "Spencer (Sanders) definitely is coming along, and (Jaxson) Dart looks like a whole different quarterback this year, I can't lie. It's definitely fun to watch."

The tidbits of information from head coach Lane Kiffin as well as observations from practice have all seemed to indicate what Knox confirmed on Monday: Dart looks noticeably different this offseason. As he attempts to hold off a now-healthy Spencer Sanders in this quarterback race, his improvement under center will be paramount during fall camp.

Ole Miss continues its preseason practices throughout the month of August before welcoming the Mercer Bears to Oxford on Sept. 2. That game is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT on SEC Network+.
