INDIANAPOLIS -- Former Ole Miss Rebels wide receiver Jonathan Mingo is participating in the 2023 NFL Combine on Saturday, and his 40-yard dash was impressive on the afternoon.

While his former teammate Malik Heath struggled in this drill, Mingo put up an unofficial time of 4.46 in the drill. You can see a video of his performance below.

The official Ole Miss Twitter team is excited concerning Mingo's performance, and for good reason. The wideout has been a mainstay in Oxford through his four-year career, and he set a single-game Ole Miss record for receiving yards in 2022 when the Rebels faced Vanderbilt. In that game, Mingo tallied 247 receiving yards on nine catches with two touchdowns. In his career, he finished with over 1,700 receiving yards.

Now that the Brandon, Miss., native's name is etched in Ole Miss lore, he is now seeking a future in the NFL. Mingo is one of five Rebels who are in Indianapolis this week for the NFL Combine, although running back Zach Evans will not participate in drills due to an injury.

Today's NFL Combine schedule features quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends, and the festivities will conclude on Sunday with offensive line and running backs. All Combine events can be seen on NFL Network, NFL+ and NFL.com.
