LOOK: Ole Miss Rebels Reveal Uniform Combination For Homecoming vs. Vanderbilt Commodores
OXFORD, Miss. -- The No. 12 Ole Miss Rebels released their uniform plans for the weekend on Thursday night, opting to go with a classic look in their homecoming game against the Vanderbilt Commodores this weekend.
The Rebels (6-1, 3-1 SEC) will be donning powder blue helmets, red jerseys and gray pants against Vandy on Saturday, making this the first time this combination has been worn since last season against the Central Arkansas Bears.
You can see the uniform reveal below, complete with modeling from defensive star Cedric Johnson.
This marks the eighth different uniform combination worn by the Rebels this season in as many games as the team strives to wear a different combo in each game.
Ole Miss enters this game as a massive favorite over the Commodores who come to Oxford with a record of 2-6 and 0-4 in the SEC. Saturday will mark the final annual matchup between Ole Miss and Vanderbilt as the conference expands to 16 teams next season. The Rebels and Commodores have played annually since 1970.
The Rebels last took the field on the road against the Auburn Tigers, picking up a 28-21 win over former head coach Hugh Freeze, making them winners of three straight. Although Ole Miss is heavily-favored this weekend, this could serve as somewhat of a "trap game" for the Rebels who host the Texas A&M Aggies next week before traveling to face the Georgia Bulldogs on Nov. 11.
The Rebels and Commodores are scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday night, and the game will be televised on SEC Network.
