Morning Report: Rebels Land Commitment From In-State Defensive Lineman

Ole Miss picked up a big commitment on Sunday evening from inside the state of Mississippi.

Today is May 22, 2023, and here's the news you need to know out of Oxford.

1. Ole Miss secured the commitment from in-state defensive lineman Kam Beavers on Sunday.

The four-star player out of Bay Springs (Miss.) High School held offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers and others. You can read more about his commitment here.

2. Former Rebel Nysier Brooks is playing European basketball, and he recently earned a postseason honor in his league.

Brooks was named the finals MVP in the Latvian Basketball League, helping his team secure a championship in Game 5 of the series.

3. Jared Ivey speaks out about first impressions of defensive coordinator Pete Golding.

4. Running back Quinshon Judkins named to a Preseason All-America Team.
