Morning Report: Rebels Set To Open Renovated Manning Center This Week

The improved facility will be officially opened on campus this week in Oxford.

Welcome to the Morning Report, a piece from The Grove Report that highlights the news from the day surrounding the Ole Miss Rebels.

Today is July 24, 2023, and here's the news you need to know out of Oxford.

1. Ole Miss is set to open its newly-renovated Manning Center this week.

The indoor facility appears to have received a significant facelift, and you can find some of those photos below. The renovations of the Manning Center came as a part of the university's "CHAMPIONS. NOW." campaign.

2. Former Rebels defensive lineman KD Hill was involved in a serious car accident over the weekend.

Hill is a former recipient of the Chucky Mullins Award at Ole Miss, and you can read more about the situation here.

3. Quinshon Judkins received a First Team Preseason All-SEC nod after SEC Media Days.

Judkins is expected to be the focal point of the Ole Miss offense after a superb freshman season on the ground. The media around the Southeastern Conference believes in his sophomore potential as well.

4. Jimbo Fisher and Lane Kiffin have one more meeting on the gridiron before a new structure reaches the Southeastern Conference in 2024.
