NFL Rebels: A.J. Brown Headlines Ole Miss Standouts
Similar to the previous week, AJ Brown, DK Metcalf, and Evan Engram set themselves apart amongst former Ole Miss Rebels in Week 4 of NFL play.
Wide receiver A.J. Brown continues to stay hot for the Philadelphia Eagles, as he led them to a 34-31 overtime win over the Washington Commanders. Brown has combined for 18 receptions, 306 yards and two touchdowns over the past two weeks.
He sits No. 6 in the NFL for receptions and receiving yards, continuing to be Jalen Hurts' right-hand man.
D.K. Metcalf contributed for the Seattle Seahawks as they demolished the New York Giants, 24-3 on Monday Night. Jacksonville Jaguars Evan Engram was sharp on Sunday and is quickly becoming one of the more dominant tight ends in the league. Engram sits No. 2 in the NFL for receiving yards by a tight end and is tied for first in receptions.
Here we break down how each former Ole Miss Rebel performed in Week 4:
Baltimore Ravens: LB, Tavius Robinson: Contributed 4 tackles for the Ravens' defense as they held the Cleveland Browns to just three points.
Buffalo Bills: TE, Dawson Knox: Just like last week, he only caught one pass on his only target of the game for a 12-yard gain. Knox doesn’t look to be a priority TE target for QB Josh Allen anymore.
Cincinnati Bengals: CB, Mike Hilton: 3 tackles, despite the Bengals getting blown out of the building by the Tennessee Titans.
Cleveland Browns: WR, Elijah Moore: He didn’t get targeted like usual due to the absence of starting QB Deshaun Watson. Moore still tallied 2 receptions for 20 yards.
Dallas Cowboys: DE, Sam Williams: Recorded his first sack of the season against the New England Patriots, as the Cowboys' defense continues to be amongst the league's elite.
Denver Broncos: DL, D.J. Jones: 4 tackles in the Broncos fourth-quarter comeback win over the Chicago Bears.
Jacksonville Jaguars: TE, Evan Engram: Caught 7 passes for 59 yards on Sunday, continuing to be a key contributor for the Jaguars in their 23-7 win over the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday.
Philadelphia Eagles: WR, AJ Brown: Delivered his top performance of the season, catching 9 passes for 175 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brown looked like the best receiver in the NFL this week.
Seattle Seahawks: WR, D.K. Metcalf: Despite being without starting QB Geno Smith for most of the game, Metcalf still came through when necessary. He still reeled in 3 passes for 34 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks demanding win over the New York Giants.
