Ole Miss Men's Basketball Reveals 2023-24 Non-Conference Schedule
OXFORD, Miss. -- Week 1 of college football kicks off for the Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday, but fans should not forget about their men's basketball team which is entering a new era under first-year coach Chris Beard in 2023.
The Ole Miss men's basketball team revealed its non-conference schedule for the 2023-24 season on Wednesday, and the Rebels are set to battle against three conference champions, six 20-win teams, and six schools who reached the postseason last year. All before Ole Miss gets to its SEC schedule.
Last season, the Rebels finished 9-4 versus non-conference opponents, contributing to their overall record of 12-21.
Beard's inaugural season with Ole Miss gets started on Monday, Nov. 6 with a home game versus the Alabama State Hornets in the Sandy and John Black Pavilion. The Rebels will then welcome the Eastern Washington Eagles to Oxford on Friday, Nov. 10. The Eagles notably won the 2023 Big Sky regular season title.
Ole Miss' third home game of the season comes against the Detroit Mercy Titans on Tuesday, Nov. 14 before the Rebels return to the historic Tad Smith Coliseum on Friday, Nov. 17 to host the Sam Houston State Bearcats. During their return to the "Tad Pad" Ole Miss will honor former Rebels coach Rob Evans and his six-year career with the team. Evans won 86 games in his time with the Rebels and earned both national and SEC Coach of the Year honors after the 1996-97 season.

It should be noted that Ole Miss' Throwback Game will not be televised or streamed, and tickets will be available for purchase on Tuesday, Sept. 5 if you are a Vaught Society member. Tickets can be purchased by the general public on Thursday, Sept. 7 should supplies last.
Ole Miss then hits the road for the first time in 2023 to take on the Temple Owls on Wednesday, Nov. 22, before coming back home to host the N.C. State Wolfpack in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
The Rebels will then host the Memphis Tigers on Saturday, Dec. 2. The Tigers got the best of Ole Miss in 2022, beating the Rebels 57-68 in Memphis.
Ole Miss hosts the Mount Saint Mary's Mountaineers on Tuesday, Dec. 5 before traveling to Orlando to battle the UCF Knights on Sunday, Dec. 10.
On Saturday, Dec. 16, Ole Miss hits the road to take on the California Golden Bears before hosting the Troy Trojans in the SJB Pavilion on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
The Rebels will then travel to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum to battle the Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Saturday, Dec. 23, and then wrap up their non-conference schedule on Sunday, Dec. 31 with a home game versus the Bryant Bulldogs.
