OXFORD, Miss. -- The No. 15 Ole Miss Rebels are undefeated (3-0) entering their anticipated Week 4 road game versus the No. 13 Alabama Crimson Tide, but the oddsmakers believe Nick Saban will once again prevail against his former assistant, Lane Kiffin.

Per 247Sports, Alabama has opened as an 11.5-point favorite over Ole Miss on Caesars Sportsbook.

The Tide are currently front runners in Week 4 despite getting their 2023 campaign off to an uncharacteristically rocky start. Alabama handled the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders 56-7 but lost to the Texas Longhorns 34-24 in Week 2.

Alabama secured a win in Week 3 but only managed to score 17 points on the USF Bulls. Entering halftime, Alabama and USF were tied 3-3 after opening the game as 34.5-point favorites.

The Crimson Tide are still figuring out their quarterback position, as all three of their signal callers have now seen playing time. On Saturday, Alabama quarterbacks Tyler Buchner and Ty Simpson combined for 107 passing yards. Ty Simpson found the endzone once on the ground but finished the day with -12 rushing yards on nine carries.

Sophomore Jalen Milroe started under center for Alabama in the first two games of the season but was benched after throwing for 255 passing yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions versus Texas.

Milroe scored five total touchdowns in Week 1 and led the Tide in rushing with 42 yards and two scores on seven carries.

Leading the underdog Rebels is junior quarterback Jason Dart, who has not given Kiffin any reason whatsoever to look at his bench through three games, except when Ole Miss held an insurmountable lead over the Mercer Bears in Week 1.

Entering Week 4, Dart has thrown for 852 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception, averaging 12.5 yards per attempt. The junior also leads the Rebels on the ground with 213 yards on 32 carries and has added two rushing scores. Dart ran for a career-high 136 rushing yards versus the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday.

Keep your eyes open, as the spread for Ole Miss vs. Alabama will likely fluctuate as we approach the Rebels' first SEC matchup of 2023.
