OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss Rebels coach Lane Kiffin is still adding to his 2023 transfer portal haul.

Former Clemson Tigers linebacker TJ Dudley announced his commitment to Ole Miss via social media on Friday night after entering the portal on July 19. Dudley was dismissed from the program at Clemson due to a violation of team rules before he elected to transfer, according to On3

The former four-star recruit appeared in four games for the Tigers as a freshman in 2022, recording one tackle versus the North Carolina Tar Heels. Dudley was rated as the No. 32 linebacker in the 2022 cycle and the No. 13 recruit in the state of Alabama, per On3 rankings.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney commented on Dudley's dismissal during ACC Media Days on Thursday.

“It’s a disappointing situation, because he’s a good kid and a man," Swinney said at ACC Media Days. "He had a chance to be a great player for us this year. So that definitely hurts us. It’s unfortunate. But we’ve got rules, and sometimes it’s just best to get a fresh start. So wish him well.”

Dudley made sure to tag new defensive coordinator Pete Golding in his announcement, a sign that the Golding hire is already paying dividends for the Rebels.

The Montgomery, Ala., native has four years of eligibility remaining and adds youth to an Ole Miss linebacker room that is loaded with veteran talent.
