OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss Rebels receiver Dayton Wade made his declaration for the 2024 NFL Draft official on Tuesday morning with a thank you post to fans, coaches, and teammates via social media.
The senior previously revealed in an interview in December that he would be leaving Ole Miss for the NFL following the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.
Wade's entire message can be found below.
“First and foremost I would like to thank God, my family, TopShelfPerformance, ADAPT Physical Fitness & Therapy, Coach Kiffin and the entire coaching and support staff, and everyone that has played a role in this journey,” Wade said via X (formerly Twitter). “With that being said, I’ll be foregoing my final year of eligibility and declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft. Thank you Rebel Nation.”
Ole Miss receiver Tre Harris was quick to comment on Wade's post, bidding his teammate farewell after the two helped the Rebels achieve their first 11-win season in program history.
