Ole Miss vs. Georgia Tech: How to Watch, Betting Odds

The Rebels will look to start the year off 3-0 and for the third consecutive season under Lane Kiffin.

Ole Miss football returns to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium following its first significant test of the season against then-No. 24 Tulane. The Rebels look to start the season off 3-0 for their third consecutive year, but they must contain the potent passing game of Georgia Tech

The Yellow Jackets (1-1) have shown promise under Brent Key to begin a new era of football at Bobby Dodd Stadium. A hot start against Louisville couldn't carry over into the second half at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but Georgia Tech took out its frustration with a beatdown against South Carolina State.

Key, a former player under George O'Leary, plans on building the program back to relevance. He's already seen promise with transfers in quarterback Haynes King (Texas A&M) and running back Trey Cooley (Louisville), putting up more points in both games all last season, minus the victory over Western Carolina.

The No. 17 Rebels, enter Saturday's matchup as one of college football's more proven programs at this stage of the season. After allowing the Green Wave to jump out early in New Orleans, Jaxson Dart hit his stride in the passing game, connecting with Michael Trigg for a 21-yard score to give Ole Miss the 27-20 lead.

Last season, the Rebels dismantled Georgia Tech 42-0 on the road. Zach Evans and Quinshon Judkins combined for 232 yards and four touchdowns, while the defense held the Yellow Jackets to under 230 total yards.

Conference play is right around the corner, and Ole Miss must begin its preparation for No. 10 Alabama. All that can wait until Sunday morning following the evaluation. The Yellow Jackets have a stinging offense that can attack quickly.
