Ole Miss Rebels Land Commitment From Freaky JUCO Receiver Marquis Willis
OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss Rebels received another big-time pledge on Saturday afternoon when Coahoma Community College receiver Marquis Willis announced his commitment to Lane Kiffin's program during this weekend's Juice Fest.
Willis' announcement comes the day after former Clemson linebacker TJ Dudley announced his intentions to transfer to Ole Miss.
Willis is a big-bodied receiver at 6-3, 218-pounds, and reportedly ran a sub 4.4 40-yard dash while at Ole Miss' camp this weekend. The JUCO receiver played high school football in Roswell, Ga., and is coming off his first season at Coahoma where he hauled in 20 receptions for 281 receiving yards and four touchdowns, averaging 14.1 yards per reception.
In high school, Willis recorded 91 catches, 1,296 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns. Willis is also the younger brother of Tennessee Titans quarterback, Malik Willis.
"I want to thank God for this opportunity. I am Blessed to receive an offer from Ole Miss and with that Being said I am 100% committed to the University of Mississippi" -- Willis via Twitter.
According to On3, Willis is set to finish his time at Coahoma this fall and will report to Ole Miss in December. Kiffin adds a big and fast red zone target to his already-stacked receiver corps.
