Former Ole Miss Rebels offensive guard Nick Broeker is now officially set to protect one of the best players in the NFL.

Broeker, who was a seventh-round pick at No. 230 overall by the Buffalo Bills in last month's 2023 NFL Draft, has officially signed his rookie contract with the team, per an announcement on Thursday. He joined four other Bills rookies in doing so, as all of them signed four-year deals.

Broeker was the second interior offensive lineman selected by Buffalo in this year's draft, as the team snagged another SEC talent in Florida Gators guard O'Cyrus Torrence with a second-round pick. The pair will now look to contribute toward the team-wide protection of star quarterback Josh Allen for this upcoming season and the seasons to come.

A versatile player who had 36 total starts at Ole Miss, Broeker has experience at both left tackle and left guard. After four years in Oxford, he made it clear that leaving the program to pursue his NFL dreams wasn't as easy as it seemed.

“These past four years have been the best of my life,” Broeker said in a statement after declaring for the draft. “I have become a better person and man because of my time here. The memories and lessons I have learned here will last a lifetime. I have built relationships that will last a lifetime.”

But now that he's secured his life-changing opportunity, Broeker will look to help the Bills compete for a Super Bowl, as the championship-or-bust expectations are alive and well in Buffalo once again headed into next season.
