The No. 11 Ole Miss Rebels are New Year's Six bound, set for a matchup against the No. 10 Penn State Nittany Lions in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Dec. 30, and Vegas has released opening lines for the game.

According to The Action Network, Ole Miss opened as a 1.5-point favorite over the Nittany Lions in the game with an over/under of 47.5.

This will be the first meeting all-time between Ole Miss and Penn State, and it is the Rebels' third visit to the Peach Bowl in program history. The second came at the end of the 2014 season when Ole Miss was blown out by the TCU Horned Frogs 42-3 in Bo Wallace's final game as the Rebels' quarterback.

Early bowl projections seemed to indicate that Ole Miss would narrowly miss the NY6 field, instead sending the Rebels to Orlando to face the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Citrus Bowl. Iowa did earn a bid to that bowl game, but it is instead matched up with the Tennessee Volunteers out of the SEC.

This marks the Rebels' second NY6 berth since Lane Kiffin arrived in Oxford, the first of which was a Sugar Bowl appearance at the end of the 2021 season. Ole Miss has an opportunity to make more school history, should it take down Penn State later this month. The Rebels have already secured the second 10-win regular season in program history, but they have never finished with 11 wins in a single season, a feat they would reach with a bowl game victory.
