Former Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Matt Corral has signed with the United Football League's Birmingham Stallions, reports indicated on Tuesday night.

James Larsen was the first to report the news, and this provides a continuation of Corral's career that began with the Carolina Panthers in 2022 followed by a brief stint with the New England Patriots.

Corral, the Rebels quarterback for the first two years of Lane Kiffin's tenure in Oxford, helped lead his team to a Sugar Bowl berth in the 2021-22 season, a game Ole Miss could have won had his performance not been cut short in the first half by an ankle injury.

He was later selected by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft and sustained another injury in the preseason. He was later waived by Carolina and joined the Patriots in 2023.

In four years at Ole Miss, Corral threw for over 8,000 yards and 57 touchdowns, including a superb 2021 season that featured 20 scores and just five interceptions.
