The Ole Miss Rebels are continuing to pursue offensive lineman commitments out of the transfer portal, securing a pledge from the Washington Huskies' Julius Buelow on Thursday.

His announcement on social media comes on the heels of fellow Washington lineman transfer Nate Kalepo committing on Thursday as well.

The Rebels have placed a point of emphasis on the offensive line market in the portal this offseason, bringing in 6-foot-7, 330-pound offensive tackle Diego Pounds out of North Carolina and former Southern Miss interior lineman Gerquan Scott prior to Buelow's commitment this week.

On the prep recruitment trail, the Rebels earned pledges from three-star offensive linemen John Wayne Oliver, Jude Foster, and Kavion Broussard.

A native of Kapolei, Hawai'i, Buelow played in each of the first three games this season before missing back-to-back games due to injury. He returned for the Oregon game, and he started at left guard in the Huskies' win at Michigan State. After that matchup, Buelow shifted to right guard in the final eight games of the season, including in the College Football Playoff.

This emphasis on the offensive line has come from a desire to provide stronger pass protection for quarterback Jaxson Dart in 2024 as well as open rushing lanes for a new-look running back room following the departure of Quinshon Judkins via the portal earlier this month.
